#47 Fabulous Fabric Workshop!
Teaching Artist - Elizabeth Taraba
Week 4, 1 - 4 pm
Ages 12 - 16

Come to AOY for an Adventure in Fabric Decorating and Embellishing! Learn to create a hot wax and cold dye BATIK with a mix of bright colors. Create a design using Fabric markers and paints. We will learn to use embroidery floss to create a pattern, design or picture that can decorate existing clothing or cloth bags.
We will learn to weave a pouch capable of holding treasures using a cardboard loom with multicolored yarn and further decorate them with pom poms or tassels!
It is helpful if campers have basic experience with simple sewing, especially knot tying, but it's not required. Our week will end with everyone taking home their new and exciting 3D textile creations to use as a base for further individual endeavors! All material fees are included.
