RE:FRAME
Give an old frame a new story.

A Member appreciation event.

Bring a friend. Rescue a frame.

Help keep these supplies in circulation and help fundraise for our next big adventures!

Great Frames. Ridiculously Good Prices.

Cheap frames. Great finds. Good company. A very good cause.

Members make AOY possible. And sometimes, making a difference is as simple as giving an old frame a new home. Bring your measuring tape, your artwork dimensions, a creative friend, and your sense of adventure.

This is one-day membership appreciation event. Don't miss out! Come rummage, meet other artists,  and get your art framed.

You will be rescuing materials and putting them back into circulation, learn more about framing, up your framing game, and hang out with other members. Bonus points if you either bring or meet someone new!

The Frame Market

  • 12x15 and smaller — $5
  • 14x18 to 16x20 — $10
  • 17x21 to 20x26 — $15
  • Oversized $20
  • “We have no idea what this is but it's fabulous” — $5
  • full sheets of watercolor paper - $5-10
  • full sheets of Crescent board - $5 or less
  • Pre-cut double mats - $2-10

Frames may be purchased as-is or cut down to fit your artwork.

Co-owner of Countryside Framing and Gallery in Newtown, Rich Fekete (and an AOY Board member) will have a “Reframe Station” where members can bring a piece of art and have one of our frames cut down to size for an additional fee of approximately $20-50 each.

Come rescue a frame, or twenty. Meet a member. Help keep the art center making art.

  • coffee and cider
  •  snacks
  •  a frame-cutting/demo station ( there was a mat cutter included in the donation)
  • frame fitting demonstrations
  •  “Ask a framer” table for framing questions and sending projects out to the frame shop
  • other member volunteers/board members/Bette hanging out to answer questions

BRING-A-FRIEND FRAME BONUS

Bring a friend who's never been to the art center before to receive $5 toward your purchase.

You can rummage through our abundance of supplies together, because we all know framing is a group sport. As a bonus, you'll get to spend some time on the incredible Patterson Farm and see inside another one of these outbuildings everyone's so curious about.

WHERE DOES YOUR FRAME MONEY GO?

$10 = art supplies for a class
$25 = helps support an artist workshop
$50 = helps keep the gallery programming going
$100 = helps us say YES to another creative idea

And every frame, mat board or piece of glass sold keeps these supplies in circulation in our community and out of the scrap heap!

Schedule:

10:00 - 1:00 — Frame Market + Rich's Countryside Frame Rescue Station

1:00  - 2:00 — Last chance / fill-a-box pricing - $50 — take home as many frames as you can safely carry. We know you all love a challenge!

Where did all of these supplies come from?

Some of these frames you may recognize, as they have been collecting around the art center for a while now, but the overwhelming majority came from a generous donation from the surviving family members of prolific Bucks County watercolor artist Joanna P. Krasnansky who passed away this summer.

Her family lovingly sorted all of her artwork and  supplies, offering the art to historical societies throughout the area, and the remaining supplies were donated to AOY. There was so much that we had to hire in a moving company!

Now we're ready to share the abundance with you!!

Come out early (doors will open at 10AM) for the best selection, and again between 1 and 2PM for the ALL-YOU-CAN-CARRY deals!

"You learn a lot about a community by how much it embraces, elevates and provides access to the arts. AOY Art Center, a nonprofit artistic hub on Mirror Lake Road, provides countless opportunities for residents to embrace their artistic side as a vehicle for growth, creativity, and profound joy. Through adult classes, youth programs, and public events, AOY Art Center uses the arts to not only inspire community members but also connect them to one another."
