#44 Clay Creations!
Teaching Artist - Leigh Ferello
Week 4, 9 am - 12 pm
Ages 9 - 13
$250*

Get ready to sculpt fabulous creations with clay! Artists will learn the essential techniques of working with natural clay, including how to score, slip, and securely join pieces together to build both decorative and functional works of art. Throughout the week, students will experiment with shaping, carving, and texturing their clay to bring their ideas to life.

Once pieces have dried, artists will have the opportunity to paint, decoupage, and/or seal their creations to add color, personality, and durability. Finished projects can be transformed into pencil holders, magnets, a trinket box, small sculptures, keepsakes, and more, depending on each artist’s imagination.

Projects and designs may vary, ensuring every participant leaves with a unique collection of handcrafted treasures.
 All material fees are included.

*plus $4 processing fee

"You learn a lot about a community by how much it embraces, elevates and provides access to the arts. AOY Art Center, a nonprofit artistic hub on Mirror Lake Road, provides countless opportunities for residents to embrace their artistic side as a vehicle for growth, creativity, and profound joy. Through adult classes, youth programs, and public events, AOY Art Center uses the arts to not only inspire community members but also connect them to one another."
