This three-hour workshop invites participants into a gentle, restorative space where stitching becomes a meditative practice of presence, reflection, and connection. Rooted in ancient handwork traditions like Japanese sashiko and Indian kantha, slow stitching honors process over perfection, rhythm over result.
Together, we will engage in simple hand-stitching with natural and vintage materials, guided by prompts, memory, and breath. The workshop includes poetry, guided meditation, and moments of silence to support inward listening.
Participants will be invited to stitch stories, feelings, or prayers into cloth, with optional additions of found objects, words, or symbols.
No sewing experience is necessary, just a willingness to slow down, breathe deeply, and create from the heart. All materials are provided, including natural fabrics, embroidery thread, needles, scissors, and optional found objects.
This is not just a workshop, it is a sacred pause, a creative offering, and a way home to yourself through the rhythm of your own hands.
