Teaching Artist: James Bongartz

This beginning painting class will explore referencing the image, "Sea Cottages, a Study Referencing Wei Pen Imagery". The use of local color, color mixes and various paint surface applications are the main considerations and inspiration for choosing this reduced, colorful imagery. We will explore the blocking-in method weekly to sequentially build up our painting while also completing exercises in color mixing and paint application techniques. Jim will also lead discussions on supplies, painting styles, genres, color and color mixing during his weekly demonstrations.
**Please note there is no class on July 15.

Checks must be received two weeks prior to the start date for completion of registration in order to be added to the class roster. Registrations will be cancelled if payments are not received prior to these deadlines.
