COVID-19 PolicyEffective as of January 24, 2024 Covid 19 and other respiratory viruses are still issues for education centers. AOY Art Center will use a variety of actions every day to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including the virus that causes COVID-19. Staying Home When Sick People who have symptoms of any respiratory or gastrointestinal infections, such as cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting, body aches, difficulty breathing, chills or diarrhea, should stay home. Covid-19 testing is recommended for people with symptoms of COVID-19 as soon as possible after symptoms begin. People who are at risk for getting very sick with COVID-19 who test positive should consult with a healthcare provider right away for possible treatment, even if their symptoms are mild. Staying home when sick can lower the risk of spreading infectious diseases, including COVID-19, to other people. If a person/student/instructor tests positive for COVID-19they should immediately notify their Instructor or Camp Director to determine potential exposure to others. The appropriate person from the Center will advise when you can/cannot return to class/camp. Ventilation and Cleaning AOY will continue to implement other safety measures such as the use of air filtration systems in each room and regular disinfectant cleaning. Hand Washing Everyone is encouraged to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently when at the Center. Hand sanitizer can be found throughout the Center.
